The National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) announces the finalists for the 2008 Salute to Excellence Awards Competition.

The competition honors work from print, television, radio, online, and photojournalism.

Winners will be announced July 26, 2008 at a gala celebration during the UNITY: Journalists of Color convention in Chicago. The event will be hosted by broadcasters Kevin Frazier and Diann Burns.
